Gutter

Gutter
GutterIt's night at Jimmy's Cafe. Alex is sketching the face of a man sitting at the corner table. He is only a stranger, just another face in the crowd. There is nothing special about him, not at first. Alex sketches him out of habit. He always sketches the people around him, trying to capture grimaces and expressions and attitudes and even feelings.

Two thugs walk in the cafe and approach the stranger in the corner and things suddenly take an unexpected turn. Very soon Alex will realize that in that dark, underground hole, Jimmy's Cafe, he has unintentionally drawn the first panel of a story that could at any moment break out from the safe haven of his sketchpad and spill out into the real world - his real world - turning it upside down. The two thugs drag the stranger out of the cafe and disappear into the night. Alex thinks he sees the outline of a gun sticking out of one of the two thugs belt. Or could he be wrong?

While trapped in a suffocating family environment - with a father militating against his passion for comics - and madly in love with the beautiful but distant Isabella, Alex struggles to find out the truth about what happened to the stranger.

However, reality is far more dangerous than comics...
